This is a book written SPECIFICALLY for male survivors of childhood incest and/or other sexual abuse. It addresses issues that are unique to male survivors, and gives a number of excellent suggestions as to how and where a male survivor can go to get some help. The book may be ordered directly from AMAZON.COM.

" I think this book is very good. It is also (I think) the only recovery book with a chapter specifically dealing with abuse from members of the clergy. "

" I used this book twenty years ago when memories of my childhood surfaced. the one thing that helped make it clear to me how important recovery was and how important it was to devote my energy towards facing my past was when Lew referred to my demons as enemies with no pity. That has kept me going for twenty years now - it is a daily battle for control of me and I fight an enemy with no pity. So I respond from deep within with the same attitude. It is a battle for my survival and my enemy has no pity - I am at war. "

" Mike Lew has also written another book called,Leaping Upon the Mountains: Men Proclaiming Victory Over Sexual Child Abuse. Mike practices out of Boston at Next Step Counseling.

Mick Hunter has written Abused Boys: The Neglected Victims of Sexual Abuse as well as a number of other books on men and sexual abuse.

Beginning to Heal: A first book for Men and Women who were sexually abuses as children. By Ellen Bass and Laura Davis is a great book for those just beginning the healing journey.

Also Check following authors for books written for men by men:
Andrew Durham
Richard Gartner
Rod Tobin
Dean Byrd

There is certainly more books out there for men than when Lew wrote his classic Victims No Longer.

Regards. "
