I just thought I'd let you know that there is a new show/series that will be starting on VH1 that will be called "Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew". The show will feature Dr. Drew Pinsky and his staff as they work with eight (8) recovering sex addicts.
This show might give you a good idea of what an in-patient treatment program is all about. Plus, you'll be able to see some real therapeutic interventions in progress. If you have cable T.V., you will be able to find the show on VH1. If you do not have cable T.V., the show is supposed to be available on line. And kentuckyblue..., if this series is anything like the previous ones Dr. Drew has done on chemical dependency (drugs and alcohol) it should be fantastic!! This should give you a very realistic look at how things work in a residential treatment center. Plus, you will be getting a slightly different perspective of things from Dr. Drew, not purely a Twelve Step approach. And I'm sure there will be confrontations and emotional breakthroughs that will be a part of this series, particularly when the patients realize how abused, used, and damaged they were as children.

I agree, i have loved his other series on addiction. Both h and i, and now my 15 year old son watched them.
I love the way he doesn't just deal with the chemical dependancies, but the root of their addictions also. As we all around here know, without dealing with them, the demons will just pull you back. I will be watching eagily with how he show cases SA to the world, so they can understand its destructive path.

I loved watching this with the exception of the graphic images. After all, it is VH1. We recorded the show and ffw through the graphic scenes.
Charli, do you happen to know Dr. Drew? I would love to ask him if he needs help with his gigs :).
