Advice:
adopted... getting over fear of abandonment
Watch this
View More Posts Ignore
I was adopted at birth, had an okay family life but always wondered abt my birth parents and why they close to essentially give me up, at thetime my adoptive parents were very financially stable and already had a daughter in catholic school. Things took a drastic turn when I was 6 as my father began abusing drugs, my mother, and gambling. Lo.g story short I safer from severe panic attacks, depression and I believe undiagnosed ADD. I currently started taking lexapro after xanax for eight months. I get very depressed when alone however my fear of being abandoned keep me from maintaining my friendships and push my boyfriend away. I wonder if this stems from my questions regarding my birth family.
Any advice? Support? Guidance?
