I am an adult with SID. I have been doing some research and there is one theory I would like to get other's opinions on.
The theory is that SID is a very very mild form of autism. Has anyone else heard this? Is it just a rumor? Do you agree? Does anyone know of a website that supports this? Thanks for any and all imput! Posted on 05/24/09, 11:05 am |

I have never heard it called a form of autism but I do know that sensory issues are quite common in people on the spectrum. My son with AS has many sensory issues.

I have been finding that autism is usually in the same paragraph along with the SPD, somewhere along the way, while finding information online.

i always just assumed that SID was comorbid with ASD's. I have Asperger's, and have always experienced this.

When you have Autism you are HYPO-sensitive right so when you are HYPER-sensitive it is the opposite of Autism...RIGHT?
