I was recently assisting an elderly friend with his new computer and discovered that bifocal glasses do not work with a head-high computer screen.

The bifocals works when one is looking down to the keyboard but not when reading straight across from the monitor screen.

I guess the bifocals can work in some cases if the person is sitting higher than their monitor, but still they must have to keep the chin up to do so.

I have reading glasses or else I can not read off of my PC but my friend had the bifocal kind and a large 24" monitor with a low chair so his bifocals simply did not work.

My finding, FYI.
