I wrote this before I even began cutting because I was trying to understand the concept of SI and put it to words.
WARNING: May Be Triggering /// Sweet, sweet emptiness in the cradle of our chests, Swallowing our insides as we lay down to rest, Scorn our smiles and hang our laughs, we see nothing left, Such anxieties be blessed by unawareness, So cringe at the sight of my scars, It's just my way to get beyond these bars, Drops of blood are pretty little stars, And I will treasure all of them by far, /// posted this a long time ago, but no one responded... coffiN's reply totally puts me off this group-i avoid "social sites" like the plague- if i write something i want it to be where i put it-and nowhere else-i do not twitter or flutter or fritter-i take the beauty and possibilities of language and my ability to shape it very seriously-and would be most upset if my work appeared on the same sort of site where people say how many times they brush their teeth -or show videos of pigs playing the piano-count me OUT!!

I understand completely what you're saying, Richard. It drives me to the bitter edge of my patience sometimes to see my work show up in other places. When I was younger, kids used to steal my artwork and hand it in as their own, no joke. It was infuriating! "Social Sites", as you say, are places I avoid at all costs, but I guess I knew someone might want to put it up there after I posted this.
After so much dealing with this, I have to learn to let it go. All sites eventually become "Social Sites", unless they are for specific groups of people given special passwords to seal of the unwelcome. MySpace didn't used to be so bad, and some of the people on it still post very intriguing things. I don't know her very well, but coffiN is someone I don't entirely mind having my work, and I checked to see that she put down credit for it, so I'm not upset. DailyStrength, I'm sure, has many people who do this. It's no crime, but to people like you and I, it's a bother. I'm sorry if it hits you that hard that you want to leave; I don't even know how you found this post through all of the others, since it's so old. People will do this wherever you go, though; if you'll notice. It's a part of life, and you're right: It sucks, to put it blatently. Ichigo
