" do something else that helps the emotion you're feeling. I cut when I'm anxious and angry mostly, and for the love of God, don't follow my example, but try to think of your own. I tried punching a punching bag when I got mad, and ended up busting a nerve. Maybe you can run, or if ur depressed, write in a journal with a red felt tip pen, all the marks u want to make till ur too tired to write anymore, or whatever. Try to do something to release the emotion in a healthy way. Now when I get mad, I hit the punching bag WITH A BASEBALL BAT, NOT MY HAND lol!!! Hope this helps :))) "

" Is there anything you can do that will take your mind off things. Writing here is probably a way to find something to keep your hands busy. Use a written journal. Keeping your mind and hands busy are the key. "
