Soo; I started cutting somewhere in July. And I didn't really do it a lot at first, and then at some point I had to stop becuz I went on vacation to Bulgaria and I didn't want any one to notice. That's when I really to need it more often but I couldn't. Since I'm back I've cut almost every day. And now my problem.
I feel like I'm not a real cutter. Becuz I don't feel the pain anymore after like a minute or something. I think every time I cut I'm still a little scared of it; like I'll hurt myself. But I want to hurt myself. Or might it be what I use to cut with? Does the pain differ if you use something else? For so far I started with a razor (made so you won't cut yourself with it, but if you take the right angle and push enough you really cut urself) and the knife of a box cutter (Stanley). And I kinda hav the feeling I did hurt more with the razor. HELP!

Please, you don't need to cut deeper to get validation from yourself. When you cut to a certain depth you don't feel it anymore because your basicly just mushing around in fat tissue, and your body has released chemicals to numb the pain.
It sounds like your in a very dangerous place right now and I would encourage you to get help asap! I would love to help you through this, I've been there, and stopped, I have lots of advice and can be a good listener, I'm going to add you as a friend.

the fact that you feel the need to cut make u a self harmer, and it's not a nice title to wear, lol..

don't overdo it, cut deeper won't help, be safe girl.
stanly knife blade are the worst to cut with they do so much ddamage to yourself ... please bbe seak medical addive
Sometimes I don't feel the pain...not because of depth but simply because I've numbed(if that's a word)myself at that point...it comes and goes. If I can't feel it at all...I really try alternatives....because I'm more likely to go deeper.
Anyways...I hope you're trying to get help and try and keep it safe or work with some alternatives....hugs
you seem curious as well for ideas just at your question does the pain differ if you use something else? i know its just new to you your a beginner cutter n wen i cut ive gotta soo used to it that i dont feel anything seriously you dont want that.

I don't want to stop. I'll stop when I feel better and I won't cut if nothing serious happened.
Superficial/surface wounds should hurt more. I enjoy safety pins because they tear the flesh...its stings nicely in my opinion. Not as much blood though
