I just finished my 3rd month on Clomid & once again I am not pregnant. After my miscarriage in May I was so happy when my doctor prescribed Clomid. I have had several girlfriends that have become pregnant immediately. I was the same way the first month I was on it but I miscarried a week later in August. After waiting a cycle I began taking the clomid again in September. Now it is November, my prescription is out & I am not pregnant. If anyone has been through something similar can you give me some advice? What happens next?? Can I go back on the Clomid again or is 3 months the limit?? Am I going to have to go to a fertility specialist. I never dreamt that trying to become a mom could be so heart breaking. This is a nightmare.

My OB-GYN tried me with Clomid and needless to say it was not successful. When my RE did a Clomid Challenge Test on me he told me it wasn't good (for me). But I have several friends who have done Clomid and they did it for periods up to six months. I looked at some info. on the internet and 6 months seem to be the longest recommended time. I believe your doctor has tried Clomid as a first step. You need to find out if other factors are affecting your ability to conceive.

I just finished My second round of Clomid. I like you got pregnant on My first round but had a miscarriage 4 days after I found out I was pregnant. My doctor gave me a prescription for 7 months. I also read that 6 months is the longest they like for you to take it. I hope everything works out for you!

I too have heard about people doing 6 months of clomid.
A friend of mine was recently told by her doctor that if you do 3 rounds and it doesn't work there is not point waisting the time and money doing another 3. But I think everyone is different. Hope you get your positive soon Sorry about your losses. Hugs to you.

I can't help much with the Clomid because the problem we're having is with my husband, not me. But I feel for you because I agree that becoming a mom shouldn't be this heartbreaking. When I have my "bad days", I always end up crying to my husband that "it shouldn't be this hard". We're trying to do what God and nature intended so it just isn't fair that we have to fight so hard for it.
Good luck to you!
