What's your worst month for S.A.D.?

Mine is February. It's thankfully the shortest month because for a period of years I was completely non-functional during it. Couldn't pay bills, had a hard time getting to school or work, or out of bed. Didn't want to go out and see friends, or have any visitors. I want to sleep all the time or curl up in blankets and read or watch tv.

The cat I had for years was a couch potato, but the one I have now is like Tigger -- bouncing everywhere and talking non-stop. I imagine this winter will be different...

Take care, Mo

" Hi Mo

My worst month is ... December&January&February... Ooooops was that more than "1".

Actually I cannot cope with Christmas, so after December I am totally exhausted with all the anxiety is causes me ~ so January is problably my worst month.

Well you never know, you might be more like Tigger this winter .. lol ...I have found that if you are in an environment which is slow/low/negative ~ it rubs off on you.
So maybe this year, just such a small thing as your new cat, might be enough to boost you a wee bit. Lets hope so :)

DITTO on all the other things you have mentioned ~ "HERMIT" springs to mind :)

Keep Smiling ~ Angel xx "

" As long as it's cold outside I have trouble. I'm hoping to get a companion dog soon, so that might help. My little girl is old enough to go outside to play, too. So that will be different. "

" Mine starts in October ~ and runs usually until April. Lordy, I hate this time of year! It's usually soooo cloudy and gray & gruesome. And like AngelEyezz, I just CANNOT cope with Christmas!! It totally wipes me out, causes more anxiety than I care to think about, and I'd rather outlaw it in my house.

" I don't have just one bad month I think from the later part of September thru April is real bad for me. Like right now I am already sleeping more hours a day then I should be. But I know it will get worse it always does. But if I had to pick one i guess it would be January. "

" Mine is January and February because that is when we get the worst weather, we often have what is called an Indian Summer in September and into October and it can get quite hot so we live off that through the rest of October so it all starts about November. Christmas doesn't help, it is not as stressful as it used to be for me so that is one bonus. "

" My month may vary depending on how over cast and gloomy the month is. Dec. can be one of our coldest months. Not only do you loose day light hours you have to worry about a high heating bill. "
