" Only the same advise one can read about S.A.D.: get as much as you can outdoors, move the stagnant body, try to get some light exposure. For me acupuncture, herbs and Qigong do a lot. If those things do not help, get a light box (though some say even a cloudy day as more lux than this machine?, some people it helps immensely). If all those things: eating right, getting exercise, get enough sleep, light exposure don't help, I would look for a good doctor. It all depends what the main symptom is, mine is fatique. I am on weekly acupuncture, herbs and qigong twice daily, feeling actually fine right now. Although I must admit we had a couple of very sunny bright days here in Boston.

" Try aSAD light therapy machine. They work wonders!! The vitamin D absorbed by your body in the winter months is generally not enough (depending on where you live) And you have to watch supplements because it's a certain type of vitamin d that you need (D3, I think)

Hope this helps,
Cheers

" Hi, I just got a Nature Bright lamp especially made for SAD sufferers and I love it! I also take vitamin D + flax oil. I also vacation somewhere warm and sunny for at least a couple weeks in the dead of winter. Do not isolate yourself, it won't help! Try to go out when it is light out, even for just 10 minutes. It is cold here in Chicago during the winter, so I understand not wanting to hang out in the cold. "
