" I have also heard this...but it is not good for your skin. I have recently bought a therapy light which produces ultra violet light which helps in the winter months when we have less sunshine. If you would like more info. drop me line...lol Beth x "

" I have gone tanning twice during the winter when i was feeling the worst. It helped alot.I also use a light box. Have for about 10 years now. My biggest problem seems to be my weight during the winter months. I am hungry most of the time. "

" Please don't go tanning. Been there done that. Get a UV safe light box instead. I have scars from holes carved in my body from skin cancer. You really don't want that - trust me. "

" Hi Jenton

I agree with you SOOOO MUCH on this one.
I know the sunbed gives you vitamin D into your skin, as would the sun, which makes you feel better, BUT, it is a heavy price to pay, as you have described.

" I have also used tanning as a way to help bad days...but if you use your UV Light Therapy...it works just as well and without the danger of skin cancer. "

" I have tried this and it helps a little bit. I wear SPF 45- I put it on before I leave the house so the no one can get upset (some salons don't like outside products used in their place). Then I only go in for 10 minutes. I try to relax and meditate or imagine that I am on a beech somewhere. I wouldn't do this more than once a month, but it can take the edge off. "
