My daughter had titanium rods screwed to her spine at the end of June this year. Within 3 weeks she was pretty much back to normal and off the pain killers. In the last few weeks she has had a lot of pain in one particular area of her spine/rib cage and her scar area is still numb. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal?

" I had a spinal fusion with titanium in June of 08 and the pain still continues. As far as the numbness I'd say that's pretty normal, but if it continues much longer ask her doctor. I'm not a professional so I can't say for sure but I think it's ok. I sounds like she made a speedy recovery!
Good luck. :) "
