What works as a pain resolution?

I have scoliosis about 35 degrees of it ranging from neck in one angle to 30 degrees of tail bone obviously in the other direction, and now affecting pelvis and legs. I am 31 with 2 small children and a husband. In the mornings my family is ready to get up and go, but I can't. I get stuck in one position and I hurt. I cannot move adequately for atleast an hour. I am completely distraught about this and I need to find a way to get up and go. During the day it hurts but tolerable, and at night gets over whelming. I have a hard time sleeping and eating.
I have tried PT, acupuncture, chiropractors and lortab along with mild muscle relaxers. The medications helped but the pain is still there. What is there to relieve this pain? I have tried alot of things, such as yoga, but it is more than a mind set to relieve pain.

" that's rough. where is the pain that gets you stuck?

maybe you could try a different bed? i wonder if you have a soft mattress, if switching to something firm might help or vice versa? or maybe try something like a sleep number bed where you could try a lot of different firmness settings and see if anything helps?

also, i know if i sleep longer than 8.5 hours or so i have pain that wakes me up and i can't continue to lie in bed. but maybe your tolerance is a shorter timeframe? maybe you could try getting up after 5 or 6 hours and then taking another long nap later, so you break up the time lying down? this is just a thought....

wish i could be of more help.

best,
s "
