Sciatic pain is often times used to liberally. When used properly it denotes inflammation of the sciatic nerve period. This inflammation is usually caused by compression along any point of its' course.Fortunately this scenario does not happen very often. The typical sciatica condition is not caused by an inflamed nerve tissue. The medical profession has come to use this diagnoses for all patients who complain of pain radiating down into the leg. When this is done patients suffer as they are labeled by this diagnoses.I have examined hundreds of patients and most often the pain originates from the sacroiliac joint. The sacroiliac joint is capable of radiating pain down the leg very similar to what a true sciatic pain would feel like. There are ways to differentiate between the two. When the source of pain is the sacroiliac joint and injection of vitamin and mineral into the area causing a localized immunological state(i.e. a rush of regenerative protiens from the layer underneath the degenerative layer) in the sacroiliac joint will positively lessen the patients pain.I emphasize the source of the pain has to be found first.
