Does stress make it worse?

I have been doing pretty good until this past week. My father in law passed away Friday and the stress has been out of control. This evening I can barely move without the worse pain I have had yet. I had to clean my apartment for people to stay there while I stay with my ex because he is unable to drive due to other issues. I don't know that I will be able to do all the standing for visitation and then following day for the funeral services. Does anyone have any suggestions besides pain pills? I can barely cope on those things.

Thank you , any suggestions would be appreciated.

" Yes girl, stress can send the nerve endings and the pain through the roof, make sure you rest as often as you can, take warm baths more than once a day, stay on top of your meds and above all, do lots of positive thinking, deep breathing & know you can dig down deep to find that inner strength to get through the hardest of times, blessings be yours and know there are people here to talk to any time you need any of us "

" stress does make pain worse.
learning how to deal with pain and stress is hard.
deep breathing and relaxing baths and that do help. "
