New combo of meds

This week I started some new meds. I was already using Tramadol 2 tabs for ok days (pain level 1-4),hydrocodone 1 550mg for bad days (pain leavel 4-6),if it a horrible day 2 tabs 1100 mg (pain leavel 6-8) and 1 10 mg of Flexeril at night.
I can't say that I've been a 9 or 10 yet but if so, I will call 911 Anyway,my new med are 2 Mobic 7.5 mg tabs, it seems to really help take away my sciatic pain, but I'm not shure if it going to work 24 hrs, you take it once a day. I'll see tonight.1 Lyrica 75 mg tab twice a day, I felt a difference within an hr. I also needed Colace (stool softener), I just started it so I can't say how that will work. Today was a very good day. I was able to shower,cook breakfast, go out for 2 hrs before I felt a bit uncomfortable. Then it was time for my next dose of meds and I am still feeling good, like a 2-3 of back pain and 1-2 for the hip and leg pain. I'm hopefull this will keep me comfortable until I can get my back fixed. I wanted to share this so maybe you can give some of it a try.Oh, I forgot ICE its not fun but it helps. I put a pillow my tummy not on my head, lay face down with the ice pack on my back for 30 min.Thats as much as I can stand, twice a day. Yes I just took it last week for 6 days (steriods) but it had a different name, I for got how to spell it. My PCP said it would help my spinal cord swelling. I don't feel a difference,but my skin is soft and clear. lol she said next month I will do it again for 6 days.They make my tummy hurt, I lost 3 lbs that week because it made me sick.l love to loose the weight but i'm not looking foward to next month.Take care, thanks for responding.

I am so glad to hear you've found some relief. I'd heard of Mobic and that some people are really helped by it but my docs have never mentioned it. I am really suffering with sciatica these days - had a laminectomy a year ago and it helped a lot with my right leg sciatica but the left is so bad there are times I can hardly walk. Do you work? That's a big challenge for me - I can't be sleepy during the day. You mentioned you take Lyrica - mind if I ask if it's made you gain weight? I know that's one of the most common side effects. I hope and pray you continue to be helped and that you can be completely pain free!
