5 days ago my back starts to really hurt...I assumed it was just my hips being out so I finally broke down and went to the chiropractor to have my back put back in allignment...It felt GREAT for about an hour and then the pain came back and is worse now than it was before...I bought some Muscle and Back Pain Relief pills in hopes that the pain was just because my back had been out for so long and it wasn't use to being "in". The pain got so bad last night I couldn't sleep, I got up and put a hot water bottle on my hip and took alot of ibuprofen, tylen and the muscle relief stuff...it took an hour to dull the pain enough where I could get some sleep.
The pain starts in my lower right back and runs down through the butt cheek and hip to just above the knee...it is killing me slowly I am sure...I am allergic to pain and this is very very very painful...Please help me...I have a very active 5 year old that i am home alone with during the day so I cannot afford to do bedrest. First PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE CHIROPRACTOR until you find out what's wrong UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE PARALYZED!!!! What you could be dealing with could be a herniation. Or it could just be a bulge. BUT, it's spinal related, and your chiropractor CANNOT help you.
From the sounds of it, it's sciatica which is usually caused by a herniated disk ~ the disk material 'pokes' the sciatic nerve, which irritates and inflames it and that makes it hurt from the butt, hip, and down the leg. What you need is to have your doctor order an MRI WITH AND WITHOUT contrast material. X-rays will show nothing, because they only show bone and disks are not bone. They are soft tissue, and only the MRI will show that along with bone. You should have this done soon, as the longer the nerve is irritated, the bigger the possibility it could be a permanent problem. (Mine is permanently damaged, so the pain like you're having is all the time) I wish you the very best! Remember tho ~ no Chiro, unless you want a wheelchair! God bless. Hugs, Lee

You needto go to the Dr and get a MRI or at least get an x-ray done. I went to two chiro's before I went for an MRI and I could have been injured badly at that point. Neither one took x-rays. You never know what is wrong with your back. Be careful.

If its sciatic pain I can tell you what my son did he had a herniated disc and he had it for two years and he was getting suicidal, I told him to go buy an everson table they were about 129 dallors at walmart and he did he used it three times a day and everyday he felt better he no longer has the pain and his disc went back into place, I also told my sister who had a herniated disc to buy one and she also was in so much pain everytime I spoke to her she was in tears because her back pain was so bad and I told her to go out and buy the table and she did and she called me back and said that as each day she used the table she felt better and how she's never home and before she was always in bed crying. You can buy them at walmart and they are the tables that flip you upside down but your recommeded to only be on one for 2 minutes. My son would get on it for five but then he was desperate. and now he is back to normal the doctors wanted to do surgery on him and I told him no try the table and Thank God he did not have the surgery. I hope you get better soon.
