I hate myself, I hate my daughter for being born with schizophrenia! I took care of myself during my pregnancy with her, I ate right, took my vitamins went to my drs appts, did everything I was asked and more...I didn't do drugs or drink and get drunk and have sex with umpteen men, I was a good pregnant mom...
but now she will be institutionalized forever, ina facililty!! taking meds for her schizophrenia, living like a lil child for the rest of her life! I've been such an ass hole! she will never love me like a daughter loves a mother, she can't, she will never mature and have children and have a job and get old, She will always be my 8 yr old child. My 42 year old daughter was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2001. Today she went into the hospital for the 5th time since then and they put her on Cogentin. I am pleased to report that her phone call to me tonight gave me a brand new version of her. She seemed happy (1st time in many months) and she felt hope again. I am so grateful for all the new meds they are coming out with for this horrible illness. I wish all of you luck in your endeavors for a healthy future.
