Looking for support for caregivers

Hello,
I am new to this site and I have been taking care of my husband for over 3 years now. He has had sarcoid for years. It started in his lungs and now it is in his bones and bone marrow in his lower back. He is in tremendous amount of pain. He is on flexeral, fentanyl patches, vicodine and he was on Methotrexate. He had to come off of the methotrexate because he had a knee replacement the end of July. He really needs to go back on it but I am not sure he is going to. Not really sure that it is working. The biopsy of the knee showed a lot of arthritis and it showed that the sarcoid has traveled from his back to the bones in his knee. The surgeon said she had to cut a lot of the bone out because it was "mushy" from the sarcoid. I just do not know what to do for him. He is now on sleeping pills because he can not sleep. I was just looking for other people to talk to so I can see how they are dealing.

" Welcome to the group. You are wonderful for taking care of your husband. I lost a fiance to this disease. Sarcoid is a hard disease to treat because it can change so much. I have been sick for the last two years due to caregiver stress of my parents. Please take care of your self.
The Methetrexate was doing him some good? Maybe after his surgery heals they will let him go back on it. I am only on a small dose of prednisone now. Trying to come off of it but it is hard.
Sometimes you just need someone to talk to. I am here usually a few times a week. Feel free to write.

" Hi I am so sorry to hear that. How long was he sick with it and where did he have it. That is my fear is losing him. The methetrexate we thought was helping but after his knee surgery we found out that is it now in his bone and marrow in his legs, it was only in his back to begin with. Do you have sarcoid? I am glad there is some here I can talk to it is hard at times. You want them to get better and you know they won't. He just seems to get worse all the time. I hope to talk with you soon. You made my day. "
