Is the cause of having low grade fevers daily during allergy season normal with sarcoidosis? My primary and pulmonary have run all kinds of tests and they are all normal. My pulmonary Dr. feels it could be allergy related. However I have no allergy symptoms. Although I would if I wasn't on 5 mg. of prednisone daily. Please help. Thanks.

" If you have sarcoidosis, then having low grade fevers is a common symptom. If you don't have the disease, any inflammatory condition (like IBS) can cause low grade fevers. If your doctors are not worried, then you can get a second opinion if you want to, but if the second opinion doesn't find anything, then you can assume that it might be related to the sarc or another inflammatory condition. " Low grade fevers are definately common with sarc. Also, sarc likes to go to the sinuses so you may have involvement there if you have symptoms. I usually start having problems in March as everything blooms and it last for 3 months. Before sarc I never had sinus issues but now I know I will have 3 months of sinus stuff every year. "

" my doctors put me on steroid nasal sprays and a daily inhaler just to try to keep inflammation down. I didn't used to have nasal symptoms. I often feel flu-ish in the evening and like I have a low grade fever, whether I'm on prednisone, methotrexate or not. Good luck! "
