" Hey!

I've taken methotrexate before. It's very old and at higher doses it was and is used for cancer...chemotherapy. It worked well for me and usually does for most people. It was given to me by a rheumatologist for psoriatic arthritis which I also have. Remicade is used for these types of illnesses too and is newer and probably stronger, but it works differently than the methotrexate. If you're unsure or a little scared, as I usually am, ask for a second opinion. Doctors are usually very good about that...just explain you are a bit anxious and this is all new to you...
Hugs,
Dianne "

" I know how you feel like being the lab rat. I was also on the remicade and the methotrexate but never the drug they are putting you on. I have been on many other drugs--28pills a day for a long time. I had really no relief from the remicade. My ankels felt slightly less painful, but not much else changed. I would research the med and make sure you know what your taking and why. Question the docs if ur concerned. I know I always do!! And sometimes I think after they add so many medications that they don't know what's the disease anymore and what's the side effects from these medications!! Hang in there

" I am taking Doxycycline,it is an antibiotic used for several types of infections. I have had trouble with my skin since I was told I had Sarcoidosis 10 yrs ago.

If you find our for sure why the doctor prescribed this, please let us know. "
