Ok Gang,
I tried but didn't like it, it did nothing for me!! I didn't like the brush that came with it, either! However, the redness solutions skin care products are still my faves!! Love to you all, Kathy Posted on 07/27/09, 02:07 pm |

I like the cleanser and moisturizer, and don't like the powder, too. I think I'm going to return it and get another cleanser. The color on it is just off, for me, and in order for me to apply enough to get the redness to go away, I'll look like I have green bruises on me.
The moisturizer is lasting a long time, but I am almost out of the cleanser. Did you try the other stuff, like the skin protecting SPF 15 or the emergency redness relief stuff? I didn't bother with either of those. I actually use a zinc oxide sunblock and like that it helps even out my skin. Big hugs! Hannah

Hi Hannah,
I just use the moisturizing cream, but it looks like I should try the cleanser, you seem to really like it!! It's so great to have a support group for our Rosacea, isn't it?? Such a wealth of information! Love ya, Kathy

I do like the cleanser. The moisturizer is actually a little heavy for me, but I think I was applying too much. Which cleanser do you like to use? I am still not completely clear with my breakouts, but am doing much better.
Hugs! Hannah

I'll have to try it! Thanks for the advice! I had never thought about trying clinique until I came here, and am really happy with them so far. I don't quite have my old peaches and cream complexion back, but at least I don't look like a sunburned basketball anymore.

Oh, I found a good concealing package that I like better than the clinque redness powder. There is some green tinted whipped foundation primer from Smashbox, and I just paired it with the mineral foundation from Urban decay. I tried bare minerals, but it looks like they won't work for me.
Smash box has other tinted foundation primers, and some of them work to even me out as well, but the green one seemed to be what worked best for me. I need to use the foundation primer with the mineral foundation, otherwise it shows every line and imperfection in my skin that I have. I went to Sephora and they gave me some samples to try. I really like places that give samples. I have spent a bundle on products that didn't work, and have a closet full of products that I will have to throw out because I wasn't able to return them after I opened them. I won't shop at those stores that won't let you return the products anymore.

The whipped primer helps, because with rosacea the texture of my skin has become very bumpy, even when it isn't red. I was trying different foundations before and I liked the matte mouse types the best. Liquid and powder foundations just seemed to amplify every imperfection, although they did help even out my skin tone, but sometimes would make me break out. This current stuff seems to be working well, although I honestly wish I didn't have to wear anything at all. For the first 28 years of my life, I never had to worry about foundation. My skin got compliments every day. :( This is such a bummer!
