Hi
I have just started treatment for rosacea and my derm. put me on oracea antibiotics. It seems like less than a week into taking them I noticed my face is much redder when I wake up in the morning and I did not have many bumps and now I do. My face also looks rashy all the time. When I went back to him I told him this and he said give it another month and added Evoclin to my treatment for the bumps. Now its really red and much dryer. Could the pills be making my condition worse. Has anyone used these two treatments? I would love to know your results. I have had this redness mildly for several years. My makeup covered it and my cheeks just had blush to them. One day it seems I woke up and it was much worse and has never gotten better. Is that the way it works? Thanks in advance for any ones help! Dear Karen,
I was alergic to doxycycline, maybe that? It's important that you're watching for other triggers like hot showers or hot drink and food. No spicy food or alcohol and direct sunlight, do you use a sunscreen? Good luck..
