Alkaline Water? helped my ezcema

So my dad is a 30 year veteran in the Chiropractic industry and he's always been into the latest holistic products. Back when no one was taking vitamins, he was encouraging his patients to take them to better their health. Even now as a retired chiropractor, he is still trying to help people, as he just discovered alkaline water. He recently brought home a water system filter that does some crazy chemistry that "spilts the hydrogen atom and" yadda yadda yadda ( when he gets into the chemistry I get lost).

Anyways, this water turned out to be way cooler and real than I thought. It tastes just like the FIJI bottled water, but a little bit better it has all these health benefits as well.. I have pretty bad eczema and its really helped to clear up my skin but since i'm in college i kinda have some bad habits haha that kind of back track my illness. In addition, I lost 15lbs in the first two weeks, my acne cleared up and my bowel movements have become regular.

But i'm helping my dad get the message out, he's obsessed with the water and the health benefits and all that good stuff. So i thought i'd share what he's told me with you guys.

apparently: its suppose to help with a bunch of diseases, balance pH leves and reduce toxicity levels, help with cancer, weight loss, colon etc. basically since water is our lives it just helps with life lol

i have more information on it if anyone wants to know...

after buying this new filter system I learned so much about water...

like Dasani water is just filtered water from Queens NY and that some tap water is better than some bottled waters.. its crazy

" Where could I buy this filter? I'm up for anything...even considering a 30-day Detox / Fast from Dr Schulze. I hear it gets rid of most disorders... "

" I've seen diets online that promote consumption of alkaline food or water suggesting that following an alkaline diet will help with Rosacea. I subscribed to this for about a day until I actually researched it and found this is not based at all in science.

Perhaps having a more healthy diet and being better hydrated helps with the symtoms of Rosacea but NOTHING you eat or drink will cause your blood PH to change - just your urine. The proponents of this theory usually have something to sell - not surprisingly, but the theory has been thoroughly debunked.

see: http://www.quackwatch.com/01Quacke...

The article, from a highly reputable organization, is excellent and a careful reading of it demonstrates how bizarre the alkaline theory really is.

The reason why I bring this up is that I almost accepted at face value the alkaline theory claim and made plans to religiously follow the diet - I'm glad I did some research and didn't continue to put faith in claims or waste my money on something that has absolutely no basis in science.

Again, while eating a healthier diet or being better hydrated, may be a good thing and possibly might help with the symptoms of Rosacea, and in your case of exema, neither alkanized water nor alkaline foods will change the PH of your blood. The alkaline theory of food is not based on sound science and has been soundly discredited. "

" I, too, read about the "alkaline" cure. While scientific websites poo-pooed this, the acid-type foods on the list are similar to those that affect rosacea. Surprisingly, I did try the ionized water (alkaline) and it had a great taste. More importantly, I found I didn't have to use the ladies room immediately after drinking it--unlike tap or bottled water where I may as well as take it in the ladies room with me. I tried this often and had same results. It seemed to stay in my system longer. Who knows...with this affliction, I'll try anything that may lead to a good result. You can buy this in the bottled water section of most supermarkets. "

" I wonder what is making our pH go funky? Maybe that should be looked into. I know that when I get a bladder infection, my urine gets basic and have been told to drink cranberry to get it more neutral. Sorry if TMI! Just curious. "

" You can try Smart Water. It's expensive and I didn't see any changes. But it tastes great. As a matter of fact, too much water sets my rosacea acne off in a worse way. Go figure that one out!! "

" Isn't that intresting, to much water messes you up. Yea who would have thought? The docs always say drink, drink, drink...it's good for you. Guess not for everyone. "

" I really got into Alkaline water because of my Rosacea. . .I was told to use tap water. . .so I fill a gallon jug and I add about 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda (Aluminum free baking soda) to the gallon of tap water. . .I have pH testing papers - it works great. I drink a lot of this. . .to make my body more Alkaline and less Acidic.

I was buying Alkaline Booster Drops and buying Distilled Water but Rosacea Ltd III said no - you need the calcium and magnesium in tap water so use tap water and add the alkaline to that. . .I use aluminum free baking soda. I got all this info on-line. "
