well I was cancelled by Unicare. They no longer serve us in the good State of Texas. I received a letter from them last week. Right after I met my $5000.00 deductible. I am glad I had my MRI done. Now they gave my policy to Blue Cross Blue Shield and I goot their Letter today, telling me that if I want to continue my coverage, they would not waive my Pre existing illness, but my Premium would increase from $328.00 to $520.00 per month. Whats taking the Health Reform so long. Any of you had similar problems? My Husband is self employed, but now I will probably also have to go back to work . I am glad that the Enbrel is working, b/c otherwise I wouldn't be able to work with the pain that I had.

" Blue, This healthcare thing is a debacle. My husband and I just exhausted our Cobra and found out we were entitled to an 11 month extension at the rate of 150% because I was deemed disabled. Yes, legally they can do that. So my pricey Cobra of $780 a month has just jumped to $1160. Go figure, the government says okay you are disabled and your spouse out of work so we will let the insurance company charge you an extra 50%. SOunds more like a punishment than a blessing to me. Good luck, marcia "

" Wow Blue and Marsha, I am sorry. This insurance thing I know is a toughy. I see I will have to work until I drop because I could not be able to afford the prices of the premiums, but we cannot do without the insurance and the cost of meds is so pricey. Can't win. Hope things get better. health Reform come on.. "

" I'm self=employed and see the premiums skyrocketing. I've got to stay on my expensive present plan because of the preexisting condition issue. I can't complain too much - they laid out $250,000 for my hospitalization and doctors for my emergency surgery.
