I know that I have only had 3 injections so far, but like I said, I have had relief in the fatigue department.

My question is for those of you who have good results with Enbrel. Is it mostly a fatigue result or joint relief or both? I guess I am just anxious to get more joint relief.

I am very happy about what it has done so far, but I am just wondering if some of you do get total relief or still have occasional episodes of joint pain/fatigue. Also how long did it take for you to get your best results?

Take care,
Jess

" When I was on enbrel, I felt a little better immediately (a slight improvement in joint pain), but had terrible side affects, and after 6 months, I had just not seen enough improvement to make up for the side affects, so I stopped taking it.

My 10 year old son has been on enbrel for six months , and it is working miracles for him, and the improvement was almost immediate. I gave him the first shot on a saturday afternoon, and on sunday morning he came running into my bedroom and did squats and announced "mom, look! it doesn't hurt!" and since it's continued to improve.

I wish you the best of luck with enbrel, and hope it works well for you, and you get feeling better.

Aoife "

" With Enbrel, it took me 6 injections to see much relief. The most relief I saw was in my swelling, I always still had pain to some degree. My Dr. said in some people it can take up to 3-4 months, but I was not willing to wait for that with the little success I was seeing. Good Luck,

Heather "

" I have had 5 injections. I didn't see much change till after the 4th one (one month). The biggest change was in fatigue. I actually went a few days without my afternoon nap! This past week I have had a lot less morning stiffness, and my brain does not feel quite so foggy. I have not had a flare since I started Enbrel and have had only a few joint aches when it's cold and damp. I am optimistic that Enbrel is going to work, but I, too, am trying to be very careful about diet. Good luck, Jess, I hope it works for you. "

" I've been on Enbrel about 2 years now. The fatigue and joint pain were greatly improved in about 2-3 weeks. I was actually pretty much unable to walk and then 3 weeks later I was playing kickball with the kids at church! Now, however I'm not feeling as well as I did. I'm currently on Sulfasalazine and Prioxicam, along with having a steriod injection within the last month. I go to the Rheumatologist next week for a check up and hopefully something else to help with the pain and fatigue. "

" Thank you for all the input. I am so thankful for a little improvement every week. I had absolutely forgotten what it was like to be able to walk farther than a few yards without pain and exhaustion.

For all of you who are still struggling, I pray for your miracle meds and remission to come swiftly!

Jess "
