Not to beat a dead horse, but I thought it was time for some more Fun around here. Not that the Swine Flu is anything to joke around about, but I just got the vaccination this morning and wanted to start a pool (well, fake bets - you know).
What's your prediction? I will NOT get the Swine Flu I will get some kind of flu, just not that one I WILL get the Swine Flu I will get the Swine Flu AND another type of flu (hint - I didn't get the regular shot this year) What does the Winner get? I hope I don't get any type of flu this season. I had my seasonal flu shot but cannot get the H1N1 til december 15th. In the meantime I try not to rub my eyes and nose or touch my mouth. I carry that alcohol based germ killer everywhere and have it in evry bathroom. Sound a bit like paronia? You bet! I am talking vitamin C, magnesium and Zinc and gargle daily.

I am not getting any flus this winter. I take lots of zinc, and that seems to do the job. I had the flu shot back in 1986, and got the flu 6 times, and last so bad I had to be hospitalized. When the doctor recommended I get a flu shot next season, I told him I had one this year. He told me my immune system was out of whack and I should never get another one. I have never had a flu or cold since then. So I am not planning on getting sick. LOL
Now if I could only find a cure for RA. My daughter got both shots in different arms on the same day, and the H1N1 arm was so sore she couldn't raise the arm, and she experienced, "flu-like" symptoms. She is a health care worker, and thought it would be the best thing to do for herself. But she is very healthy, so who knows if it will make a difference?

My 17 year old son had the swine flu. When we got home from the DR. my husband said," the clinic called and said there was a mistake He actually has the Bird brain flu.LOL I laughed, my son didn't think it was so funny!!!

No I didn't have any headache or nausea just a really sore arm for about 24 hours. They did it in my left arm becuase they know it can do that. I've been on the Vitamin C bandwagon for the last couple of weeks! Don't know if it really works but at least it makes me feel like I'm doing something to prevent it. I had a touch of a sore throat a couple of weeks ago and now I'm paranoid. I've got hand sanitizer, lysol wipes and 2 cans of lysol spray. I disinfect everything I might touch twice each day at work and once at home. I use the santizer after every payment transaction (handling people cards). I work in retail so I get exposed constantly.
