So it looks like I am about to get a dental implant. This metal thing is supposed to replace the original root. Does anyone see a problem with my gums healing around it while on methotrexate? Does anyone else feel like sharing with the class if they've ever had one of these?

I send you my best wishes in all things "teeth." I have had some bad experiences in the distant past and it makes it difficult for me to march joyfully onward to the dentist. I have incredibly dry mouth from Sjogren's and as a result my teeth are breaking; the only tooth that had a root canal broke off at the gum line! How lucky can one girl get?
Anywho, I haven't had an implant but there has been an ad on TV about having all your problem teeth taken care of with implants in one day. If it's real it probably costs a fortune but it would be worth it to me if I NEVER had to deal with those things again. I'm sending you brave, warm, healing hugs - make sure you let us know how it goes...I'm curious...hugs jilly
