" Christine - I am so sorry - I hoped you would have better news. One step at a time, sweetie!

I agree, it does suck to be young and have to deal with this. A friend's granddaughter - age 3 now - was diagnosed with RA at 2. I cannot imagine!

" Yes it is difficult being young and diagnosed with RA. I was twenty years old when diagnosed. I woke up one morning about a couple weeks of having given birth to my first child and could not move. But please be encouraged because now there are better meds to help you. You have a promising future. Take Care! "

" I know what you are talking about. I have had RA and Fibro since my mid twenties. Other young people just don't understand. I have to agree with you though that knowing what is wrong is better than not knowing what is wrong. For three years I argued with my doctors that something was wrong and they just kept saying it was the depression causing the pain. Even though the diagnosis of RA sucked I was kind of glad to hear it becasue it meant I was not crazy. RA is a rough battle but know you are not alone. I may not be as young as you but I know what it is like to feel that some of the best years of your life have been stolen from you. Hope the ultra sound turns out okay for you. Don't worry about taking an antidepressant. I know they helped me get through a really tough time with the RA. "
