I am new, but not to RA

I actually stumbled upon this site, and I think it is great to be able to have a discussion with people who understand. I have dealt with this condition for many years. There have been some really difficult times, but thank God I made it through them.

RA is so challenging because it is so unpredictable. For me the simplest thing like a sudden change of temperature can just ruin the moment.

I stopped riding buses long ago for fear of being stuck on a bus or bustop not being able to move or being vulnerable because I was limping or having difficulty walking.

Since I have been taking Orencia I don't have many of those times. Hopefully it continues to work well.

" Ruthy, Welcome to daily strength. I have been taking Orencia since July. I have seen subtle changes although my RD says I cannot feel the benefits for 6 months which isn't till January. How long have you been on it? It is great news that you are feeling so well. Yes, RA is unpredictable and that is what is so difficult to accept and adjust. I like your phrase that it "can ruin the moment" that says it all! hugs, marcia "

" Hi Marcia
I have been taking Orencia for about two years now. I really noticed a big difference after a few months. Prior to taking Orencia I ttok Remicade which worked well, bit would wear off about two weeks after before time for the next infusion. Orencia has really helped a lot, and there has not been any side effects. "
