I am having a whole lot of swelling in my hands and feet. It is not isolated in the knuckles. I am swollen from my ankles to my knees. Does anyone else have this problem? Do you take diuretics of just "deal with it"? I am tired of squishing.

" Hi kaweenee: I haven't had this problem but would suggest you ask your rheumy if it is RA related.

Pillsbury Dough Girl ~ just too cute! If you get poked in the tummy, do you giggle too? :) "

" Hi Kaweenee, you must let your Rheumatologist know about this. You might need a little prednisone or have your meds changed around. Only problem is holiday weekend now. If it gets to be too bad you might have to do an ER visit. "

" Thanks, keimoe and christine26. I am not worried about heart failure, etc. but I do think that the azulfidine and the meloxicam are causing the swelling.
When I "mentioned" it last time, he okayed some lasix and didn't really seem to take note of it! I will try again with my regular doc! "

" I concur. maybe something besides RA....like poor leg circulation, or even blood clots. Don't sit on it, so to speak. Be proactive! "

" Better ahve your Dr. check it out. My knee is also swollen and my Dr. gave me an Inflammation Shot. It went down a little. My Rheumy saw it too, but also was not that worried. Shel told me to call back next week if it has not gone dow. I may have to go back on Prednisone. So get it checked out, so you can have a restful mind.\
