Okay short of dropping ice cubes in my underwear and having an IV to drip coffee into me constantly to keep me awake the fatigue is really doing a number on me. My joints are feeling fairly good for me so I am slightly annoyed the fatigue is cutting into my "good" joint days.
What do you guys do to perk yourself up? Even if it only lasts for 5 minutes. LOL And please don't say take a nap! Posted on 06/27/09, 09:06 pm |

That is just what I was going to say(smile). Maybe vitamins would help. I usually cut down on activities when that happens.

Also make sure you are not anemic because that will aggreivate the fatigue.

The ice cubes in the underwear would probably do it for me...LOL
But I'm with you Smith101...I wish I could find something for the fatigue. Naps don't help me either. I have tried everything I can think of. I get up walk around, drink coffee, eat candy, etc. Its especially bad if it hits when I'm driving...I try opening the windows in winter, slap my cheeks, pinch myself, sing (that should scare anyone awake ... LOL) Nothing works. Christine is right...I am also slightly anemic and that does make it worse!

As weird as it sounds, sometimes easy/gentle exercise speeds me up. I get into the water at the Y and by the time I've done a little splashing, showered, changed, I usually feel like a new human. My head is clear, I'm clean, life is good. I have to be very careful not to over do and make the fatigue worse, but a little really helps me.
Also there is this wonderful dark chocolate with sour cherries that gives quite a buzz! :) Sandy

I used to drink Rockstar drinks....between the Taureen and green tea that's in it, it seemed to help. I stopped drinking them because I read some studies on sucralose which scared me into not drinking them anymore.
Multivitamins seem to help a little. The enzymes I take help, probably because of the CoenzymeQ10.....something that most autoimmune diseases are in dire need of. Hugs, Sarah

I am working with acupuncture to help with the fatigue. Also taking Vitamins B, D, and folic acid. Sometimes I think that the meds add to the problem by causing edema, etc. so I am also increasing the amount of water I drink....hoping that I will snap to soon.
On the other hand, I am gonna try the ice cube trick. Can't hurt and it might be the highlight of my day!
