" I've been on Arava for 3 months now and have seen improvement in both my bloodwork and some improvement in how I feel day to day. My liver panels that she checks every month still look good.

I was more worried about Arava making me nauseous or having to spend all of mine time in the bathroom. I'm already losing my hair due to having lupus, but I've not noticed an increase since starting Arava.

My doctor suggested that I eat a little something just before I go to bed and take the pill before falling asleep. She said if the pill made me a little nauseous, I wouldn't have to deal with it because I would be asleep. So far, it's working for me!

I know the dread of possible side effects for me was far worse than the reality of taking the drug.
Do I like it? No. But I need something to help me function.

I wish you good luck. If you want to chat, just send me a message. "

" I was also on Arava, for about 2 years. I was taken off of them about 2 months ago due to it causing a low platelet count. But before that, it had really quit working for me 6 months ago.

" I was on Methotrexate for a while, injection and by mouth and my hair got thin as a result and started breaking off. I have been on Arava for a while and swear by it.I am very stiff when I miss a dose. "
