Hi All,
Is anyone on the above drug, I have been on this for depression for the past year and my doctor today has increased it to 20mg. if you are on it how do you find it. Has it sorted or helped your depression. If you are not on this what type of antidepresants are you on and have they helped? Posted on 10/24/11, 06:07 pm |

I took Lexapro (US name) a few years ago, pre-dx, for extreme depression and anxiety. Worked well for me then. Quit taking about two years ago.
A couple of weeks ago, I asked the rhuem to write me a script for it as I was weepy and anxious. Two weeks of 10 mg and I feel better already. I feel fairly calm and able to concentrate on tasks. I think Lexapro is much better than citalopram (a med that preceded it) for me.

Hi Sharon,
I took Citalopram about five years ago for clinical depression but it did nothing to help. After finally finding a "cocktail" of meds which worked, I have stayed with Effexor XR. I am sure being on this pre-RA dx has been a help in dealing with RA ( which is still not controlled two years down the track). Take care Hugs

I have been on Lexapro for a year. I only take 10 mgs, but it works well for the nerve pain in my feet and it seems to help stablize my emotions.
