RA finally has some Bling! And, Sara Nash, author of the blog The Single Gal's Guide to Rheumatoid Arthritis, is going to take the "Buckle Me Up" bracelet on to The Ellen Show!! Sara works hard for RA, and joins many of us in wishing for more support and education about RA.

"The retail price for the bracelet will be $65, $12 of which goes to the Arthritis Foundation, but Tiffany is offering us a 'sneak peak' discount of $35 (not to worry, Arthritis Foundation still gets $12 from each sale) now through June 6th when the bracelet and awareness campaign will officially launch. Currently, the bracelet is available in brown, but it will be available in black shortly, and plans are in the works for a faux leather version for those who prefer their bling to be vegan. And, if you want even more RA glam, you can get the matching earrings for $10." The design is well thought out: It is unisex, because men and women get RA; it is hip/trendy, to highlight that RA is NOT an old person's disease; it has elements of strength, inspiration to "move on", and encourages us to ask for help "buckle me up." Go look at it. Even if you can't get one (but it is discounted!! AND The Arthritis Foundation still gets the $12), I think we should all consider getting behind this. |
