Dear DailyStrength cancer community group member:

From time to time, DailyStrength has the opportunity to work with the press to further our purpose -- to point out that we serve as a community of members helping and encouraging one another. We've been approached by a writer with Family Circle magazine for a story called "Bouncing Back from Cancer."

She's looking to interview a mom in her 30s/40s (with at least one teen or tween in the family) who has recently completed treatment for cancer and has a good prognosis. She's looking for a very positive person willing to share her personal experience and be photographed, along with her family. It can be any cancer but breast cancer, since the magazine already covers that extensively. The story will focus on one mom and how to segue back to pre-cancer life, after being in the alternate universe of diagnosis and treatment. How do you get back to work and family routines? How do you live with the uncertainty of "will it come back"? What are the effects on the family -- kids and spouse? How does it affect friendships? your outlook on life? This real-person story will focus on life after cancer and how to bounce back.

Her deadline is THIS WEEK, so please e-mail our public relations contact, Krista Van Lewen, at kvlrogers@comcast.net if you are interested in participating.

Thank you, once again, for helping to build DailyStrength into the best health community on the Web.
