So not sure about my surgery

This is how it went you have(Rhabodmyosarcoma) a rapid growing tumor of 8cm. Your cat scan shows something in the breast and the nodes are being attacked(my words). Told Thankgiving day went back in Dec the tumor was at least 2 more cm, surgery scheduled for Jan 11. Doctor says, it would be in your best interest to remove the breast and lymph nodes come back and have reconstructive surgery or have it the same day. I was ok with the removal of the breast since that meant no radiation and no chemo.

I prepared myself and family for this surgery, but what has happened is they removed the tumor, did the lymph nodes, took some tissue from my breast. However, I need radiation and chemo. I sound so ungreatful. But when a plan of action is in place shouldn't it be followed through. I just thought if there was no breast then maybe it wouldnt give the Rhab. any where else to go and all the tissue it touched would be removed.

Dont people have a say or choice in what their treatment should be? I just wanted to feel I had won a part of this battle now I'm in the war zone

Thanks for listening
