I can't even pronounce it..I need to know more..dos retinal detachment have another name?..I just found out I have this but it also has another name..I am going to see another specialist about my eyes....Very scared now I just found out... I knew something was very wrong.

" If you mean macular degeneration, this is not the same as detached retina. I don't know another name for detached retina.
All I know is you must be seen by a retina specialist as fast as possible as this is a medical emergency and if not treated will lead to blindness.
I had surgery for it within 4 days and my vision is fine. "
