Macular pucker surgery.

I have a macular pucker and was told that my vision has deteriorated a bit. I was also told that I might need surgery at some point. I have had two cateract surgeries and they were fine but I am so nervous about any other surgery on the eye. I have heard about surgeries that require a head down position. I live alone and this scares me, I don't know how I would care for myself if that ever happened to me. I also think I would go crazy.
