Hi, i suffer with moderate to severe RLS and severe cronic depression. I was just prescribed cymbalta to possibly help with both. Anyone try this for RLS? I start taking it tomorrow. Switching from 60mg celexa and 50mg imiprimine for depression and upto 450mg tramecet/day for RLS. I take tramecet cuz my RLS is often worse in the daytime for some reason so i can't take anything that makes me sleepy. Any input anyone has would be great.
Thanks!

" I take Cymbalta but it has not helped my RLS. My doctor prescribed it more for Fibro / nerve issues. I would suggest you make one change to medication at a time though and not go off all of those meds while starting a new one. You should double check with your doctor but if you start/stop all those at once and have any bad symptoms,. you won't know if it is from withdrawing offf the existing meds or starting the cymbalata. I know a lot of people whose pain has improved from Cymbalta so don't lose hope because it didn't work for me. It is probably worth a try. Good luck! "

" Thanks, its not really doing anything for my depression and its definitly not helping the RLS, so i will talk to my psychiatrist and see about switching. There's gotta be something out there that works, right? "

" You know Cymbalta helps my depression but there is a good benefit from my moods being better the pain does not hurt as much. My pain is a lot worse when my physical or mental hurts or is exasurbated. "

" I take 60mg of Cymbalta for my RLS and I also take Clonazepam 0.5mg three times a day for nerves and I find that my RLS and my anxiety is greatly improved. Hope you find what works best for you. Drinking tonic water also helps, it has an additive Quinine that is an active ingredient in RLS medications. "
