and the question is:
Does/Can RLS lead to Parkinson's Disease; and if so, what are the chances/odds?

I have been told that Michael J Fox's Parkinsons started as a uncontrollable muscle twitch similar to RLS.

I have RLS as well as Type 2 diabetes and am wondering what my risk level is?

" I've have restless legs for awhile. I also have a sleep disorder called sleep apnea. I'm seeing a specialist for this and she gave me mirapax and klonopin for bedtime. this is my first week taking it. next week my dosage will go up a little more and I hope it works better, because I still not resting well. I have fibrmyalagia and some other medical problems so I don't know for sure it is restless leg. "

" I did some research on this for you and what I found out is that RLS does NOT usually indicate the onset of other neurological conditions. I am glad to have found this information myself as I have had RLS for years. It has gotten worse over the years and now I even get it in my arms AND legs. I found out that the worsening over time is normal, also. I even get it during the day and take Mirapex during the day and Mirapex and Skelaxin at night. Sometimes I have to add a Percocet or Vicodin at night also in order for it to stop. Last night nothing worked completely and when that happens it about drives me crazy. lol I hate nights like that! :-( I hope you can relax a little with this information. Have a blessed day and I hope your RLS isn't too severe! :-) "
