Side affects of Requip

Does anyone have this side affect from Requip? Not long after I take the med my hearing becomes very acute. The slightest noise is magnified ten fold. The Dr. told me that wasn't one of the side affects of the med listed in the book. So am I dreaming up side affects for this med or what?

" Hi Omie I have rls and did take requip last year. I never had the hearing problem but had rls 24/7 with requip. Does your dr have alot of knowledge of rls? It is so important to educate yourself before seeing a dr. I know I joined the rls discussion (no charge) and you can go on different forums to find out any info that you are looking for. You can go on rls.org and will give you different links to go to. "

" dopaminergic neurons and fibers have shown to play a role in deafness and Requip is a dopamine agonist so I'm sure that it can intensify your hearing as well. Have you been on it long? Its a med that does take a lot of adjusting, thats why they start you out at the .25 mg and slowly increase the dosing if needed. "

" I'm awfully tired all the time and in the last couple of months or more, Requip isn't working anymore. I have RLS all day long and the more tired I am the worse it is. "

" I always get stuffed up when I lay down at night. I didn't think of this being a side effect to requip. Sure wish I could find something that would work for my RLS besides drugs. Thanks for the info. "
