I don't experience that side effect. For me, my head gets totally stuffy, and I start feeling nauseated.

I guess it is all in my head. I didn't think about my head being stuffed up but that also is a problem for me. I just use nose spray and try to sleep. Does anyone get a good nights sleep by taking the Requip? I am still up and down all night.

I haven't had any problems or side effects from taking Requip, it has helped me so much. I have had RLS for years but didn't do anything about it just lived with it. When I got married in November my husband requested that I talk to the doctor because I was running a Marathon in my sleep. Requip has made all the difference.

hi, yes I am on requip and my hearing has intensified. Any noise is amplified and sometimes hurts my ears or causes me to jump.

I have always had acute hearing. I can hear dolphin whistles (the kind the trainers use) and high pitched mosquito repellent devises. It's very painful. I also have RLS. I've had it all my life. I just didn't know what it was called. So maybe it's the other way around. Maybe RLS sufferers have acute hearing to begin with. I've also tried Requip and had no noticeable change in my hearing. But then again, I've always had sensitive ears.

I took Requip for a few months. It worked like a charm once we got the dosage right, but it caused heart palpitations in me. Heart palpitations are not listed as a side effect of using Requip for RLS, but are listed as a side effect of using it for Parkinson's Disease. I'm not sure what that means, but I thought that was interesting. I didn't see anything about acute hearing listed in the side effects for either use.

i've have not experienced any difference in my hearing from requip.
i am currently getting off requip because it has lost its effect. i've been on it for over a year and it was great at first but now my rls symptoms are back.
i researched natural means of curing my rls and i am currently watching my soduim intake and what a differnece!!!!
the FDA sz we need 2400mg of salt but really we only need about 600mg.
A BIG DIFFERECNE!
i am tried of the drugs and it took 30 years to find this wonderful solution.

requip made my RLS worse

I don't get any side effects that i know of but when I take it it puts me to sleep.

I've come to the conclusion, I appreciate the relief I get and that out weights the side affects. I have learned to live with them. Amazing what people will go through for some comfort.
