I joined this community to know more about respiratory tract infections, because I get lots of them during the winter/fall and sometimes even in the spring. I have chronic sinusitis, and nothing seems to help calm my symptoms for that down. I just got off of a heavy dose of levaquin which was somewhat helpful for my sinus infection. I also found out that on top of the sinus infection there also was a respiratory tract infection. I have a question. Does Icecream help soothe the sore throat? Should I eat it when I have a respiratory infection or no? My throat is inflamed really bad and it seems that sore throat drops aren't helping. Any suggestions?

MY PCP just started me on Bactrim for my RTI, so now I have antibiotics for my inflamed throat and rib cage cartlidge, but I was wondering if it was okay to eat ice cream.
