I joined this community to know more about respiratory tract infections, because I get lots of them during the winter/fall and sometimes even in the spring. I have chronic sinusitis, and nothing seems to help calm my symptoms for that down. I just got off of a heavy dose of levaquin which was somewhat helpful for my sinus infection. I also found out that on top of the sinus infection there also was a respiratory tract infection. I have a question. Does Icecream help soothe the sore throat? Should I eat it when I have a respiratory infection or no? My throat is inflamed really bad and it seems that sore throat drops aren't helping. Any suggestions?

" MY PCP just started me on Bactrim for my RTI, so now I have antibiotics for my inflamed throat and rib cage cartlidge, but I was wondering if it was okay to eat ice cream. "
