ANYONE TRIED PROLOTHERAPY?

I am looking into alternative methods that may be of help in treating RSD. I found a therapy on the internet called prolotherapy that has been used to treat people with chronic pain and athletes with sport injuries. It has been also used to help with the pain and degeneration of RSD. When you have a fracture ,crush injury, etc to the body you have damage to the tendons/ligaments too. They have no blood supply on their own and rely on movement to get adequate blood flow. Restricted movement of a limb(s) results in the tissues dying. Prolotherapy corrects this with a series of injections(ouch!) into the damaged ligaments, tendons or joints stimulating the body to repair the injured areas that are causing so much pain. It causes inflammation to the area and forms new collagen: and as a result the tendons and ligaments are strengthened. This in turn diminishs the pain and prevents further deterioration of the affected body part(s). I could see how this could be too painful of a procedure for most individuals with RSD,but when you are starting to run out of treatment options you will consider now what you did not before. I would like to hear your thought s about prolotherapy. Have you tried it or know of anyone that did? I would appreciate any advice on this topic.

" I have heard of it but do not know of any instance where someone who has rsd has tried it. It's an interesting topic though, and worth checking into. Good Luck! "
