Hi, everyone I am a 47 year Old Woman that has just been diagnosed for the second time with CRPS
On April 24, 2009 I fell and bruised both of my knees and 4 days later the pain started in my knee and calf. 2 more visits to the ER and I was diagnosed with CRPS put on Lyrica and referred to a Specialist. Took Lyrica for 3 weeks and seemed to be helping pain level cut in 1/2.Specialist said the ER Dr was wrong and told to stop the Lyrica.3 months later 2nd Dr diagnoses CRPS. Just back on Lyrica is there good chance it will help?
I would appreciate any feedback.

" What I've found, is you have to trust your own knowledge of your body, and see what works for you. CRPS is elusive to diagnose and treat. Do as much research as you can on line and then pursue what is right for you! Good luck! "

" I'm 50 and was diagnosed in 07. My RSD doc started me on Neurontin but then it no longer worked so switched me to Lyrica. Been on it ever since. I take Cymbalta for nerve pain also. Just got put on a brand new fibro med called Savella. I also take an occasional Norco for pain. RSD can be very different for each individual. It's frustrating that there's no current long term pain relief out there. Do what you think is right. Thinking positive thoughts really helps me, and sometimes I think of vacation spots that I love. Sometimes I'll do something as simple as taking a wine cooler and sitting outside with my 2 big dogs and just kick back to take time for me.
You take care,
Deb "
