My daughter (19yrs and one of a twin) has had RSD (Sudecks Atrophy) since 2005. She has either had it in her left leg or in her right arm. The pain is just too much and it starts swelling almost immediatly. Last week she felt pain in her let and her right arm and currently she's at home with both her leg and arm affected. We live in RSA and I just cannot seem to find any help for her here. Is there anything she can do to alleviate this pain? Please can anyone help me as when she has an attack she was off school for between 3 - 4 months and now she's in college missing out yet again. As a mother is really breaks my heart to see her in so much pain. I've also been trying to get in contact with doctors overseas but this is prooving to be quite a hassel. I will appreciate any assistance. Thanks and kind regards, Susan French (Candice French's worried mother)

Im a sufferer, and I can tell you that the pain is sometimes unbearable. May I ask if she suffers from any mental health issues? I ask this because people that suffer with mood disorders somtimes have it much worse than others because the pain is caused by nerve dammage and the pain is running though the central nervous system when someone is overly stressed, or has a hard time controlling there emotions the pain tends to get much, much worse.
I take Naproxin, tramadol, and oxicottin, and on April 6th Im going in for a spinal stimulator to hopefully ease the pain, but quite a bit- i also see a Pdoc to help control my mood and work on breathing techniques that help control the pain. Message me for more personal info. :)

Hi there i have suffered with crps for years before being diagnosed. Unfortunately treatments include alot of pain meds . I found what works best for me is physical therapy. I know it is painful to even move the affected limb. I started slowly strecting deep breathing this took about an hour and half and taking epsom salts baths this really helped I was bedridden for almost two years . Gradually I felt a decrease in pain levels throughout the day. Finding a doctor is so difficult ,my doctor just prescibed voltern gel this has really worked for me. It is good because it is topiclal and not a narcotic. Hope this helps K

I was diagnosed with RSD in 2007. No help from pain meds. About 9 months ago I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted. You might ask her doctor about them. Just a thought.
