What are your RSD symtoms?Everyone please help

Hi,
I have been diagnosed with RSD after a running injury I sustained nearly two years ago. Ive been on crutches for 1 and a half years and in the past 9months my condition has deterioted-I am housebound and cannot even bare weight through my right leg and it is stuck bent.

I went to see a RSD Specialist however she wasnt sure I have it as I dont have typical symptoms such as:swelling, sweating, hair growth and senitivity to touch.

My symptoms are that there is always a dull ache in my leg but if I stretch it slightly or just do the slightest movement its not used to I get a severe pain reaction like "burning" in a localised area of my calf muscle whihc lasts about a week before calming down.

Does this sound like RSD and what are everyone elses symptoms?
Thank-you for your replies
Linz x

" Hi Linzxx, My rsd is not in my legs, but the pain does change and varies with the weather or my anxiety levels. My hand was clawing and fingers pulling in,the diagnosis came too late and my joints froze at the knuckles, this could be a possibility, that your knee joint is trying to freeze bent or has dystrophied? Which seems to happen with this disorder and everyone's symptoms seem to be different. You hang in there and keep looking on the web, there is new treatments and info forthcoming everday. I found http://robertgschwartz.homestead.c... to be very helpful. Good-luck and best wishes and try to keep moving the best you can. "

" linzxxx,
I am sorry to hear what you are going thru. For 2 years I went with very bad burning pain. I am also very sensitive to touch. I have rsd in both legs from the knees down. Oddly enough I have the temperture and color changes but the hair does not grow. My pain is around the 6 or 7 level all the time unless someone or somthing touches my legs. I can feel that pain for days and days. I do physical therapy and have an aid to keep the sheets and blankets off of my legs and feet. I used a walker for about the first year but have been wheelchair bound since then. I just joined this group and hope that I will be helpful as well as receive help from this site. The best advise I can give right now is to continue to do your physical therapy and to try to keep a positive additude that some day there will be something that can help us all.
