About 12 years ago we had an exotic bird farm (large one). We had to bleach our dirty bowls in buckets for 10 mins then wash them. We did this outside summer & winter time. One day in winter a very cold day I was pulling the bowls out of the water which had a sheet of ice over it and my hands began to swell up very fast!! They became huge!! White & red & purple and I barely got my rings off fast enough! This happened several different times. Not just a little swelling, like 3 or 4 times normal size! Well after that I noticed I was reacting to cold weather. My hands would go white, blue, red and tingle like a thousand needles are sticking them and just hurt in general. I have always been someone who would get cold if I saw snow on t.v. and the cold always made my back ache with such pain I would have to go in quickly and sit down. I had my thyroid tested and all was okay. I was told by word of mouth about Raynaud's and began wearing gloves scarfs hats etc. I even seem to be unable to dip ice cream, hold cold drinks out of glass cups even ice cream would make my tongue tingly, numb & swollen feeling. Cold drinks hit my stomach and make me sick feeling and make my teeth hurt severly. It seems as though after having my 1st child(5 years after 1st reaction) it eased up significantly in the hands but not internally. Since having my son I have developed I guess it's hives but I itch to the point of welts mostly on my legs but sometimes elsewhere too. is this part of it too?) After my daughter was born & around 7 months old my head started severly itching and I started loosing my hair. It would re grow & then start all over again. A terilbe cycle that repeats every feww months or so. I don't have ins. & can't go to a Dr. while I relize none of you are Dr's I would like to know what you think.

" I also have had that experience. Let me ask you this. Do you have dry skin, lack of oil in the skin of your face, dry mouth, dry eyes, everything tastes kind of blah, maybe a little sensitive to the bright lights or the sun, problems with your teeth, like loose, discolored, or gums receding, part of your hair dries faster than a different part, could you let me know if you have any of these. Sounds like you are poking a stick in the wrong Bush.

Hope to hear your answers soon
Doug "

" I have Raynoids primary...not secondary.. and my fingers turn white in 75 degree weather and throb and hurt and then yellow, blue. I have had it going on 2 years. There is 2 things I wonder if it is from... 1 I worked on a job for years that i used a cleaner and had my hands in some sort of cleaner all day. When I clean with anytype of cleaner it acts up.The other is I was outside in really cold temps for a half hour or so. I am sure one of the 2 caused mine "
